Hello and welcome,
I’m Dr. Kayla Thamert

I started Aurora Health & Wellness because I wanted to create a medical practice that felt honest and authentic—one where patients feel heard, questions are encouraged, and we have the time to explore the unique layers of your health story.

I’m endlessly curious about medicine and genuinely enjoy solving complex health puzzles. I love helping patients understand how their bodies work and empowering them with the knowledge to make confident decisions about their health.

Whether you’re navigating a chronic health condition, seeking to optimize your energy and performance, supporting healthy aging, or simply wanting to look and feel your best, my goal is to help you achieve lasting wellness throughout every stage of life.

My Philosophy

I believe healthcare works best when it’s a partnership. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, interpret the science, and offer recommendations based on my clinical experience and the best available evidence. Your role is to help me understand your goals, values, and what feels realistic for your life.

While I frequently incorporate peptide therapy, hormone replacement, medications, supplements, and advanced laboratory testing when appropriate, I believe lasting health begins with the fundamentals. Sleep, nutrition, movement, stress resilience, meaningful relationships, and other daily habits create the foundation upon which every other therapy works. Rather than chasing quick fixes, I use modern therapies strategically to complement—not replace—those foundations.

Would we be a good fit?

Patients who tend to thrive in my practice are curious about their health and want to understand why they’re experiencing symptoms—not just find ways to suppress them. They value education, ask questions, and appreciate being an active participant in their care.

I enjoy working with individuals who are open to exploring both conventional and innovative therapies, understand that meaningful healing is rarely linear, and recognize that sustainable health is built through consistent habits as much as medical treatment.

Your first visit is a comprehensive conversation—not a rushed appointment. We’ll review your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, previous treatments, and goals to develop a personalized plan that may include laboratory testing, nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, medications, hormone replacement, peptide therapy, or other evidence-informed therapies, depending on your unique needs.

Aurora Health & Wellness is a direct-pay practice, allowing us to prioritize time, thoughtful decision-making, and individualized care over the limitations often imposed by insurance. If you value longer appointments, collaborative decision-making, and a personalized approach to your health, we’ll likely be a great fit.
