Hello and welcome,
I’m Dr. Kayla Thamert
I started Aurora Health & Wellness because I wanted to create a medical practice that felt honest and authentic—one where patients feel heard, questions are encouraged, and we have the time to explore the unique layers of your health story. Together, we’ll look beyond symptoms to better understand the root causes of illness and build a treatment plan that’s as unique as you are.
My Philosophy
I believe healthcare works best when it’s a partnership. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, interpret the science, and offer recommendations based on my clinical experience and the best available evidence. Your role is to help me understand your goals, values, and what feels realistic for your life.
You’ll never be pressured into testing or treatment that doesn’t feel right for you. Instead, my goal is to provide the education, guidance, and support you need to make informed, confident decisions about your health.
Whether you’re navigating a chronic illness, hormone imbalance, fatigue, digestive concerns, weight loss, mental health challenges, optimizing health span and longevity, or simply striving to feel your best, I’m honored to be part of your healthcare journey.
Are we a good fit?
Patients who tend to thrive in my practice are curious about their health and want to understand and address the root cause of their symptoms —not just find ways to suppress them.
I enjoy working with individuals who value collaboration, are open to exploring both conventional and innovative approaches, and understand that meaningful healing is rarely linear and often takes time.
While I frequently recommend peptide therapy, hormone replacement and other medications, supplements, lifestyle changes to optimize sleep, nutrition, and movement, and laboratory testing when appropriate, there is never a one-size-fits-all protocol. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, and every recommendation is ultimately your choice.
